Adding slides
You can add slides from the slide list, menus, Search, the Library or Present. The pickers and placement rules are the same in each.

| Song | Opens the Song picker. See Songs. | ⇧⌘W |

The same options are in Presentation › Add Slide. To add a Text slide at a particular spot, hover between two slides in the list and click +.
Where new slides go
Section titled “Where new slides go”- New slides go after the selected slide. If the selected slide is in a group, they go after the whole group.
- With nothing selected, they go at the end.
- The first new slide is selected.
- Adding slides can be undone in one step with Undo.
In Present, slides added during a service go after the live slide’s group. See Changing the service while live.
New slides use the presentation’s theme, or the group’s theme if they’re added inside a themed group, unless you choose a different theme in the picker.

Changing a slide’s layout
Section titled “Changing a slide’s layout”Select a slide and choose a layout under Look › Layout in the inspector. The text stays the same when you switch. A Text slide keeps all three of its lines even if the new layout shows fewer, so the text reappears when you switch back.
If you move or resize layers on the canvas, the layout shows as Custom. Click Reset layout to go back to the layout’s positions.
Editing song and scripture text
Section titled “Editing song and scripture text”You can change the words on a Scripture or Song slide in the inspector or directly on the canvas. The slide is then marked Edited. Click Revert to source to go back to the original text from the Bible or the song.
