The Present workspace

Present (⌘2) is where you run the service. Controls stay in fixed positions. Amber marks what’s live or active.

The Present workspace while live on the chorus of Amazing Grace, with Program, Up Next and Then monitors, the song map, and the control rack.
Present while live. Program shows exactly what the audience sees.

Across the top:

  • READY before the service, or LIVE and the time since you went live.
  • The name of what’s on screen, such as “Amazing Grace · Chorus”.
  • Badges for anything active: BLANK, LOGO, FROZEN, CLEAR TEXT, MESSAGE or COUNTDOWN.
  • A summary of your screens, such as “Epson Projector · Sanctuary TV (AirPlay) · Stage Display”. Click it to open the Screens panel.
  • The number of network viewers watching.

On the left, the same slides and groups as in Design. Click a slide to show it. Badges mark:

  • LIVE: the slide the audience sees.
  • Up next: the slide Next will show.
  • Starts here: before going live, the slide the service will start on.
  • Skipped: slides that Next passes over.

In the middle:

  • Program shows exactly what the audience screens show, including holds, the message, the countdown, transitions and video.
  • Up Next shows the next slide and its Notes.
  • Stage Display shows a live view of the Stage Display, when one is in use. Otherwise this monitor is called Then and shows the slide after Up Next.

To make a different monitor the largest, hover over it and click the expand button. Guidepost remembers your choice.

When the live slide is in a song, the song map appears under the monitors. It lists the song’s sections in order and highlights the current one. Click a section to jump to it, or use Repeat and Skip. See Changing the service while live.

On the right, top to bottom:

Module What it does
Timers Before the service, the countdown. While live, the elapsed time and End Live. Below that, the speaker timer.
Stage Display Cues for the speaker. Shown only while a Stage Display is connected.
Scripture and Song Add content during the service.
Message Compose and show a message.
Video Play, pause and scrub video. Shown only when the live slide has video.
Blank, Logo, Freeze, Clear The four holds.
GO LIVE, then NEXT and PREV Start the service, then move through it. The counter shows where you are, such as “4 / 25”.

Modules appear and disappear in fixed positions, so the buttons you use most never move. Clicking a rack button never takes keyboard focus, so Space always means Next.

The footer lists the keys for the most common actions, using your own shortcuts if you’ve changed them.
